Comparing Balinesse dance and African Folk dance

Now, we are going to compare a dance from my country and one from another country. Here we are going to talk about Balinesse Dance and African Folk Dance.
First, we are going to talk about Balinesse Dance. Kecak is one of the most popular balinesse dance in Bali. This dance is performed by men. Kecak originated in the 1930s Bali by Wayan Limbak who worked with a painter from Germany, Walter Spies. Based on the Sanghyang culture and the parts of the Ramayana story. Wayan Limbak made this dance popular when he was touring with his Balinesse dancer.

Besides of the Ramayana story, there are some Kecak’s titles and themes which are often staged, such as :
  • Kecak Vali and Sugriwa, was created in 1976
  • Kecak Dewa Ruci, was created in 1982.
Both were created by I Wayan Dibia.

Kecak it's not the same as the other Balinesse dance because Kecak performance is only integrate the art of mouth shout like “cak cak cak cak” so this dance called Kecak. The best place to watch Kecak is in Uluwatu. There is a video about Kecak performance in Uluwatu.
Now we are going to talk about Tamukung Dance, a dance from Africa. Tamukung Dance was founded by a man called Fundoh. When he first presented the dance to the Fon of the village, as tradition required, the Fon was so blown away by it's sheer beauty that he appealed to Fundoh to make it the dance of the land. Fon is the chief of the village. And so it became Tamukung, which could be translated as a half the Father of Dancers.
There's a video and some pictures about Tamukung Dance.
